I'm about to say something that a lot of you might not like. It's a hard truth that most aren't willing to accept. Suicide is murder. One definition of murder is "to kill (someone) unlawfully and with premeditation." Suicide not only falls under that definition of murder but is also not biblical. I know it sounds like I'm stating the obvious but bare with me, I'm getting to a point. Proverbs 6:16-17 Says; "16 There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood," Stop and think about it, "hands that shed innocent blood." You may not see yourself as innocent but in the eyes of the Lord you are. He washed our sins clean by his innocent blood so that we may be seen as pure. So yes, Suicide is shedding innocent blood and therefore is murder. You are taking one of God's beautiful, living creatures and killing it. But God has a bigger plan for you, for your life. So hold on tight to the Lord and he will provide. Jeremiah 29:11 states; "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." I'm not saying that giving your life to God is just going to fix things and you won't struggle anymore. What I am saying is that there is a purpose for your life. God will walk with you but you have to try too. I know life isn't easy and we all have our own struggles, our own paths. Keep your head up and lay your life in his hands. I'm not here to lecture you; I'm here to give you a new perspective. Would you ever look at your best friend and tell them they are worthless? No? Then why would you say it to yourself? You wouldn't go out and kill someone; so why would you do it to yourself? You are worthy, you are loved, you are beautiful in every way, you are unique, you are you... and I love that. So don't give up, I know it isn't easy. But I've been there, and some days I'm still there. I have learned the hard way that it isn't all about me and my feelings. I have learned to find joy in the little things. I find joy in giving whether it be a gift or a simple smile, making someones day makes mine. Find your little happy moments and hold on to them with all you've got. Be the best you that you can be on a daily basis. And think, if you wouldn't do it or say it to a friend why would you do it to yourself?
