Just as a friendship should be, just as a marriage should be, our relationship with God requires time and effort. But here is where we get it wrong; it is not 50/50. God gives us his 100%, he pours out his blessings, heart, love, and compassion 100%. And in return we sit and wait for him to do it all. God is capable but you can't receive if you don't meet. If you don't meet God by reaching out then you won't receive the blessings that he has for you. Just as a marriage should be, just as a friendship should be, our relationship with God needs to be 100/100. We need to give our all in order to receive all that he has for us. We need to fight for what we believe. We need to stand up for God, for ourselves, and for our faith. We need to love like God and do our best to bless others. Do not tell people of God, but rather, show people God. Show people the love, the life, the joy, the peace of God and they will begin to ask questions; they'll start wondering how you went through hell and came out on the other side still smiling and loving. Because if we walk in the footsteps of the Lord then we are bound to reach his presence when we reach the end of our journey. Now, that's not to say that you won't encounter his presence along the way. We stumble and fall and stray from the path because we are not God, and that's okay. But if we try our best and give our 100% he will meet us where we are. Don't break yourself trying to give your 100. Our 100 looks different every day. Some days 100 looks a whole lot like getting out of bed; that's it, just getting up. Some days 100 looks like self care to feel more at peace with yourself. Some days 100 looks like being everything you ever wanted to be, up on your feet, moving, learning, loving. But do me a favor... Insert God into your life and be sure to surround your 100 by him. You don't have to get out of bed to pray; you don't even have to open your mouth and speak aloud, pray in your mind, he still hears you. Self care day? Listen to some worship music while you take a bath or paint your nails. If it's a day where you feel like you can conquer the world than do it! Go out and love, love like you've never loved before; love with the love of God. Don't get lazy in your relationships; give your 100.
