Mountains


We all have mountains to climb. There are constant boulders in our paths and stones crumbling from under our feet. But we climb. We climb these mountains one step at a time, one stone at a time. Yes, the journey is long, it's tiring, and it never seems to end. Every time you defeat a mountain you look ahead just to see another pyramid of rocks flooded with snowflakes standing in your way. Matthew 17:20 "Faith can move mountains." While we are busy trying to climb these mountains we forget that God is capable of moving them if we allow and believe him. However, if He chooses not to move a mountain in your life that does not always mean you have little faith. Sometimes we are meant to climb those mountains to better ourselves, to show others it can be done, to grow in our walk with God. Because if we rely on God along the journey He will light our paths one step at a time. And while the oxygen at the top is thin, He is the breath of life. Job 33:4 "The spirit of God has made me; the breath of the almighty gives me life." Remember the small things. Remember the little streams that provided you with fresh, cold water. Remember the wild flowers that bloom in beauty along the path. The trees, remember how they stand tall with confidence. Remember when you couldn't walk how God carried you until you could. It is cold when you reach the top; but oh how the sound echos off the cliffs. Psalm 98:4 "Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into song, rejoice, and sing praises."
